Tara was born and raised in Olathe, KS and when it was time to head off to college she ventured west to Manhattan, KS to attend Kansas State University. Michael and Tara met at K-State, but upon graduation Tara moved back to Kansas City to start her career as a District Manager for Aldi. After working for Aldi for six years and living in Kansas City, Omaha and Tulsa, Tara decided to make Dodge City home with Michael. Tara's education in journalism coupled with the business knowledge she gained from working at Aldi, the Dodge City Area Chamber of Commerce, and most recently as a Vice President of Commercial Banking at Landmark National Bank, has been a tremendous asset to the Burkhart Real Estate & Auction team. When she is not working, Tara can be found volunteering for the Kappa Alpha Chapter of Chi Omega House Corporation Board at K-State, reading, spending time with her and Mike's daughter, and enjoying the latest Bravo reality shows.
